I am under 16
Can I still attend a clinic if I am under 16?
Yes, you can!
Even if you are under 16 you are still entitled to confidentiality. This means that you can attend the clinic and we won’t pass on details about your visit to parents, carers or other professionals. We would only need to break this promise if we were concerned about your risk of harm or harm to others.
Under 16s are entitled to confidential sexual health advice and contraception. Experienced healthcare professionals will make sure your journey through the clinic is quick. We will ask you some questions to make sure you are safe. Importantly we will not judge you. Testing for sexually transmitted infections is really easy and often you can do the tests yourself.
If you under 13, we may have to take extra steps to make sure you’re safe. This might mean talking to other services if we think you might be at risk of harm.
How to get tested
We offer a choice of walk-in or booked appointments. We have three different venues spread out across the city.
