Using this website
This website is run by the Brighton & Hove Sexual Health & Contraception Service at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts
- zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.
To help further we use a tool called ReciteMe (blue circle at the bottom right of your screen). ReciteMe is an accessibility tool that allows you to customise the site so it works for you. It includes text to speech functionality, dyslexia software, an interactive dictionary, a translation tool with over 100 languages and many other features. To read more about the features and functionality of ReciteMe, read the user guide
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
- you can’t modify the line height or spacing of text
- you can’t use Recite Me on videos
We are working to resolve these issues
