We’re pleased to let you know that SHAC West will soon be moving to a new venue.
Friday 28th of February will be the last SHAC West at Wish Park Surgery in Hove. The service will then reopen on Friday 6th March at its new home – the Weller Youth Centre in Knoll Park.
Importantly, the service itself is not changing. SHAC West will continue to offer the same free and confidential sexual health support for under 25s, including STI testing for people without symptoms, contraception, PrEP, treatment for positive STI results and advice on sexual health and wellbeing.
Why the move?
The new Weller Youth Centre is a brand-new, purpose-built youth facility delivered by the Hangleton & Knoll Project.
Moving SHAC West into this dedicated youth setting will:
- Make it easier for young people to access the service from local schools and colleges
- Improve links with local youth provision
- Provide appointments in a welcoming, purpose-built environment designed specifically for young people
- Offer a fully accessible clinic space
Getting to the new venue
The Weller Youth Centre is located in Knoll Park, Stapley Road, Hove (BN3 7FD).
As this is a new building, it may not yet appear on some digital maps when planning your journey.
The venue is:
- A short walk from Maytree Walk and Old School Place bus stops
- Close to Beryl BTN Bike bays in Applesham Avenue
- Surrounded by free on-street parking, including on Stapley Road
SHAC West will continue to offer booked and walk-in appointments from 3:00pm – 5:30pm on clinic days
