Clinical Nurse Specialist (GU Medicine and PrEP)

Jodie Crossman is Clinical Nurse Specialist at Brighton’s Sexual Health and Contraceptive Service (SHAC). With over 17 years of experience in sexual health and contraception, Jodie plays a vital role in establishing equitable access to PrEP across the city and overseeing care for patients with complex sexual health needs.

Jodie is also the Chair of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH) Nurses SIG and co-chair of the Sexually Transmitted Infections Foundation (STIF). Her leadership in these roles focuses on improving access to sexual health services, ensuring equality in healthcare delivery, and advancing HIV prevention efforts, particularly through initiatives like Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). Jodie is deeply committed to supporting the professional development of staff within the sexual health field, making a significant impact on both clinical practice and patient care.

In addition to her clinical work, Jodie regularly contributes to national discussions at BASHH and BHIVA conferences, where she shares insights on sexual health service innovations and nurse leadership.
