Other ways of getting contraception
Contraceptive pills can be accessed from some community pharmacy settings without a prescription.
Protecting yourself from STIs
Most methods of contraception do not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
If you are having condomless sex, we recommend regular sexual health screening. You can also find out about PrEP, a medication that can help prevent HIV.
You can talk to the clinician you see for contraception about STI prevention and PrEP.
