This section provides support and information for people that identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or other terms linked to the LGBT spectrum

The Sexual Health and Contraception Service offers specialist clinics for the LGBT community, see below: 

  • Clinic T – sexual health clinic for anyone who identifies as trans, non-binary or gender variant
  • Clinic M – sexual health service specifically for gay and bisexual men
  • Clinic W – sexual health service specifically for anyone that identifies as a women
  • Prefer to do a home testing kit? Can’t get to a clinic? Email your name, address & DOB to SC-TR.BrightonCASH@nhs.net & a test kit will be sent to you in an unmarked envelope

 Here’s some other LGBT support available in the city:

  • Navigate is a group for transgender men, trans masculine people, genderqueer people, non-binary people, those assigned intersex and/or female at birth that fit somewhere else on or off the spectrum or those who are questioning their gender identity
  • MindOut is a mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay men, bisexual, trans, and queer people
  • LGBT Switchboard can support you to make informed choices about sex and help you to stay healthy and happy by providing you with up-to-date information and confidential listening support. They also have a dedicated helpline which offers support to trans people including those who are non-binary and questioning who have experienced sexual violence at any point in their lifetime
  • Allsorts supports LGBTU young people (aged 5-25) through group work and emotional support
  • Clare Project: Self supporting group open to anyone wishing to explore issues around gender identity
